What are terms and conditions?

Terms and conditions act as a contract between a business and a customer, which serve the right of responsibilities for both parties.

As a Pomelo merchant, you can add your own terms and conditions, to the payment experience. This allows merchants to determine if their payment experience requires explicit consent, and a place to highlight particular information around the policies you have for services such as returns, refunds and cancellations.

How to access the terms and conditions

You can access the terms and conditions within the merchant dashboard under the Settings tab on the left hand side and then by clicking Terms and conditions.

Adding terms and conditions

You can add your terms and conditions to appear on the footer of your shop and payment experience. To do this, click Add on the right hand side to where it says Upload your terms and conditions.

Please note:

  • Merchants can only format their terms in plain text with line breaks.

  • Merchants can add up to 2000 characters.

Adding footer links

To add links to your legal policies to appear on the footer of your shop and payment experience, click Add footer link next to the plus symbol at the bottom of the terms and conditions section under Settings. You can add up to 3 footer links. To do this, you need to fill out the Link name and paste the URL link you wish to use in the box that appears, then click Add.
