Learn how to manage and configure orders

We’ve recently made some new improvements to our order management system.
In this overview, we will cover:

  • What is Order Mode

  • How to enable Order Mode

  • How to get notified when a customer makes an order

  • Can I miss an order from a customer?

  • How to configure order statuses

  • How to define which shop/location you get notifications for, if you have more than one shop


What is Order Mode?

Order Mode has been introduced so that merchants can get live notifications for when customers place new orders. When you enable Order Mode, it means that you will always be informed when a new order comes in.


How to enable Order Mode

To enable your order mode settings:

  1. Log into the app.

  2. Go to Orders.

  3. Tap the Settings cog in the top right of your screen.

  4. Tap Order Mode and alerts on your order settings.

  5. From here you can enable order mode and sound alerts.

Please note: Order Mode can only be enabled on the mobile or tablet application.


How will I get notified when a customer makes an order?

We have implemented live notifications to come through to your device.

When a new order does come in, we will highlight the new order in the form of a full-screen overlay informing you of the number of new orders. You will need to tap to acknowledge the new order

Along with the notification, you will receive a ‘ding’ sound so you can hear when an order has been placed by a customer. Your phone or tablet will clearly highlight the number of new orders that came in since you last acknowledged the updates.


Can I miss an order from a customer?

The order management tab will never go to sleep or standby. You will always be nudged until the order is acknowledged, so you will not miss out on customer orders.

You can also enable sound alerts so you will be notified when a new order is received. Please note that this sound will not be played if your device is silent.


How to configure order statuses

All settings can be managed in the Settings cog under the Orders tab. You can configure what you label the order statuses based on your sector or industry.

For example, if you are an e-commerce store: Shop: Dispatched > Sent > Delivered. If you are a restaurant with food orders: Ordered > Preparing > Served


How to define which shop/location you get notifications for if you have more than one shop

To ensure our merchants have flexibility, they can define which locations/shops they wish to have highlighted in the new order overlay. All settings can be managed in the Settings cog under the Orders tab. Simply select the shop locations you want to highlight new orders for. Once enabled, we will notify you when the new orders come in and you will need to tap to acknowledge each new order.

Please note: to be notified as quickly as possible, you need to leave your mobile or tablet application open on the order section.
